Service

By accessing or using Gen-SEO ("Service", "we", "our", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

Current Status: Gen-SEO is currently in Early Bird free access. These terms apply to the current version and will be updated as we introduce new features.

Auth0 Authentication

Gen-SEO uses Auth0 for secure user authentication and account management. By creating an account, you also agree to Auth0's terms of service and privacy policy.

Account Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You may not share your account credentials with others
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account

Your API Keys

Gen-SEO operates on a Bring Your Own Keys (BYOK) model:

• You must provide your own API keys for OpenAI and/or Google Gemini
• You are solely responsible for obtaining and managing your API keys
• You must comply with OpenAI's and Google's terms of service
• You are responsible for all charges incurred through your API usage
• We are not liable for any costs associated with your API usage

API Key Security

• Your API keys are encrypted and stored securely in our database
• We will NEVER use your API keys for our own purposes
• We will NEVER share your API keys with third parties
• You can revoke or update your keys at any time
• Deleting your account permanently removes all stored keys

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Generate spam, malware, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Generate content that violates OpenAI's or Google's usage policies
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available"
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
• Third-party services (OpenAI, Google, Auth0) may affect service availability
• We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions

Your Content

• You retain all rights to your input content and business context
• You grant us a license to use your content to provide the Service
• Generated SEO content and schema belong to you

Our Property

• The Service, including all software, design, and features, is owned by Gen-SEO
• Our trademarks, logos, and branding are protected
• You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service

Gen-SEO integrates with the following third-party services:

We are not responsible for the availability, content, or policies of these third-party services.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement of third-party rights
• Accuracy or reliability of generated content
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Security of data transmission

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GEN-SEO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Costs associated with LLM API usage (OpenAI, Google)
• Third-party service failures or interruptions
• Unauthorized access to your account or data
• Content generated by AI models

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Gen-SEO in the 12 months prior to the claim (currently $0 during Early Bird free access).

Your Rights

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Deleting your account through the settings
• Contacting our support team

Our Rights

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• You abuse or misuse the Service
• Required by law or regulatory authority

Effect of Termination

• Your access to the Service will be immediately revoked
• Your API keys will be permanently deleted
• Your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy
• These Terms will survive termination where applicable

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through:

1. Good faith negotiation between parties
2. Mediation if negotiation fails
3. Binding arbitration or legal proceedings as a last resort
